| Wolfgang S. Kechel, CTO Wolfgang S. Kechel is inventor of the GDS technology and co-founder of data2c. After obtaining his degree in computer science (Dipl. Informatiker) from the University of Karlsruhe in 1991, Kechel joined PRS, where he participated in multiple data-management and visualization projects with several leading system integrators. Although initially focused on the technology, he gradually assumed increased project management responsibilities and eventually became product manager for GIPSY, a data visualization platform, in 1995. After managing the product’s very successful market introduction, he was promoted to Director of Engineering in 1999. He has been serving as CEO of Patzschke + Rasp Software AG since 2001. Kechel is the driving force behind GDS development at PRS: Based on his experiences in the field, he developed GDS's™ basic functionality and built a strong technical team to turn the technology into a product. |
